My phone is vital to my daily function. I use it for work, for communication with family, friends and basic house running. The idea of getting rid of it is not on my radar.

Nevertheless, I like to read about other people’s tech triumphs. They challenge me to keep on top of my phone use and try to keep control over my phone. To me, that is the constant battle, deciding who is in control, me or my phone.

I am a disciplined person with good habits, but I always keep in mind that billions of dollars are poured into figuring out how to keep people addicted to their devices. Keeping that fact in mind, I try to keep challenging myself to be the one in control.
