Following our earlier information on cellphones and other solutions for blocking AI chatbot phone numbers, several new developments have emerged that significantly expand the available protections.
Most notably, a new centralized database has been created to track the rapidly growing number of AI chatbot phone numbers. This database updates automatically and can provide current information to cellphones, office phone systems, and phone carriers, enabling them to block known AI chatbot numbers in real time.
Building on this database, an expanded suite of solutions has been introduced under the name TAG Protect (protect.tag.org). TAG Protect integrates with a number of office phone systems that already have call-blocking capabilities. If your office or institution uses a compatible phone system, you can request that the TAG Protect block be added for a nominal fee. This solution is especially useful for schools, yeshivos, and other institutions that need centralized protection across many phone lines.
In addition, new SIM cards are now available that provide phone service while automatically blocking AI chatbot numbers at the network level, offering protection without relying on phone settings or apps.
TAG Protect also includes a reporting feature that allows newly discovered AI chatbot numbers to be submitted, ensuring that the database remains up to date and that new numbers are quickly added to the block list.
Alongside these developments, specific cellphone models with kosher filters already block AI chatbot numbers, and more cellphone models and phone systems are expected to adopt this database going forward. The list of supported devices continues to grow, with the goal that eventually all kosher phones and systems will block AI chatbot numbers by default.
